Dutch artist Shakd, renowned for his unpolished, live and unpredictable sonic alchemy, makes a powerful statement with his “Space Invader” EP on Det Gode Selskab. This release is a masterclass in sleek minimalism and intricate sound design, featuring tracks like “Right Nothing,” which weaves hypnotic textures with tight, plucky drums, and the title track “Space Invader,” a futuristic journey through robotic rhythms and pensive vocoders. “Space Invader (Earth Landing)” offers a bass-driven interstellar intermission, while “14143” and “Whatever” delve into underground rave territory with pulsating basslines and quirky noughties house vibes. Shakd’s raw energy and innovative approach promise to captivate dance floors worldwide, solidifying his status as a trailblazer in the electronic music scene.
