Laughing So Hard, It Hurts marks a defining moment for Mavi, following the promise of his debut with a record that deepens both his writing and emotional scope. Written after years of touring and collaboration, the album finds the Charlotte, North Carolina artist reflecting on lifes opposing forces joy and grief, hope and fatigue, resilience and doubt with rare openness and control.

Across the record, Mavi embeds his dense, cascading verses in warm, layered production and off-kilter rhythms, allowing space for vulnerability without sacrificing momentum. His lyrics move fluidly between intimate self-examination and broader observations, tracing personal growth with a poets attention to detail and rhythm. The result is a body of work that feels lived-in and expansive, balancing introspection with quiet confidence.
