Recorded at a grueling pace across nearly three years, *The Long Run* captured a band running on fumes and creative tension, yet still capable of radio-defining moments like “Heartache Tonight” and the wry title track. It would be the Eagles’ last studio album before their 1980 breakup, making it both a commercial peak and an unintentional farewell document of one of rock’s most complicated partnerships.

The Long Run is the sixth studio album by the American rock group the Eagles, it was released in 1979, on Asylum
