Kanye Wests modestly formed eighth record is a meditation on marriage, mental health, and addiction. No half-truths, just naked minds, Kanye West sings on Ghost Town, the penultimate track on his eighth album, Ye. And he isnt lying: every question youve had about the past year of the divisive rappers life from his battle with bipolar to his problematic comments on black slavery seems to be answered in this widely speculated and fascinating record. Ye revisits the gospel mutations of his 2016 album The Life of Pablo, the revamped sweet soul of The College Dropout, the rock heft of My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy and the stark synthesizers of Yeezus.
